Last night I made chicken parmesan for dinner. It is one of those dinners that you need two people around to cook: One to cook and one to watch the kids. Before kids, my husband and I would often make a nice meal. We enjoyed cooking together just as much as eating the meal. Since having kids, I have become pretty good at cooking meals that are healthier, quicker and can be done with two little ones around. If you have read this post, you know my hubby and I are working on creating more memories outside of just going to dinner for our date nights. Sometimes though it is nice to share a good meal with your husband and part of the memory is cooking together.
Need a date night idea? Here is my suggestion:
Put the kids to bed
Put on some music
Start cooking
Share a dance
Light some candles
Enjoy a meal together
My 5 at home restaurant quality meals (click for recipe)
Balsamic Chicken and Asparagus
Garlic Pesto Chicken with Tomato Cream Penne
Skillet Penne and Sausage Dinner
*I call these restaurant quality meals mostly because they are something I would order out. I have made all these several times and recommend each one. They are all amazing!

Definitely thinking about taking a cooking class out with my husband. Though it’s more pricey than we would spend on dinner, it’s so important to remember you are paying for the experience which to me, is priceless. Great thoughts
Yes Marissa I totally agree. That is on my to do list!
